When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to declare the injustices among the powers of the earth, respecting the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to act.
We too hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, but we were denied protection of our Lives, Liberties, and pursuits of Happiness by this government and her Indian allies to the destruction of our rights.
When a long train of abuses and usurpations of treaties, pursuing invariably the extinguishing of the life, liberty, lands, and rights of The Chickamauga Nation, it is their right, it is their duty, to secure guardians for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of the Chickamauga. The history of the present government is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over the Citizens of The Chickamauga Nation. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.
The petitions to this government to secure guaranteed treaty rights are continually ignored and rebuffed.
Petitions seeking placement on the List of Federally Recognized tribes who are to receive services and benefits from the Bureau of Indian Affairs is afront to the laws of Nature in that the evidence is overwhelming that The Chickamauga Nation is already Federally Recognized by this government.
This government refuses to provide basic human rights, that were secured by treaty, to our Citizens for healthcare, housing, education, manufacturing, hunting, fishing, gathering, and lands.
The Congress of this government has refused to acknowledge its public laws which were wholesome and necessary for the protection of The Chickamauga Nation and for the public good.
The Congress of this government refuses to honor its treaties ascribed to under the watchful eyes of a just Creator.
This government conspires with her Indian allies to allow for the genocide and ethnic cleansing of our people while we petition this government for the protection of our people as guaranteed by treaty.
This government has excited domestic insurrections against us, and has endeavoured to bring on the illegal immigrant invaders into our frontiers, all the time calling us the merciless Indian Savages.
Therefore, The Chickamauga Nation appealing to the great Creator, the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good Citizens of our Nation, solemnly publish and declare, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
