What an incredible story the Chickamauga have. Love, Betrayal, Genocide, Revolution, Broken Treaties, War, Ethnic Cleansing, Going into Hiding, Reawakening, Governmental Betrayal and Ignoring, Historic and Academic Lies, and a Coup de Taut.
Our story is a story of deeply held traditions, uncompromising desire for survival, simple lifestyle thrust into a war between three world superpowers, fierce fighters and passionate lovers. The Declaration of Independence colliding with the Doctrine of Discovery, Manifest Destiny, Racism, Intolerance, unbridled greed and lust.
Our story of today would be a great thriller full of governmental intrigue, Tribal politics, and a people just wanting their treaties honored so their people can get healthcare, access to grants, continue their culture, and help their communities.
A past deeply tied to being in harmony with earth and nature and a present which is almost post-apocalyptic requiring our ecological ways for the survival of earth, water, and air.
Or story is a story which must be told. Our story is the script of a great series of books, movies, or documentaries.
