Sequoya was NOT Cherokee according to the Laws of the Cherokee Nation, he was a Lower Town Chickamauga. When Sequoya moved out of the jurisdiction of the Old Nation and lived outside of the jurisdiction of the Old Nation, he was no longer a Citizen or have rights in the Old Nation. He completed his work on his Erate syllabary on the West side of the Mississippi while he lived with the Chickamauga in Arkansas and was therefore, Chickamauga.
History is so much more interesting when you learn the TRUTH.
