The 2024 National Gathering:

Celebrating 340 Years of Treaty Writing

‍

‍

‍

The Gathering is a celebration of our past, present, and future.  We are fulfilling our pledge to each other: That which was taken in hate, we will restore in Love.

‍

Restoration:

We will witness the Edge of the Woods Ceremony, which we use to welcome new people into our community.

The Bear Dance – The dance of healing for our people will be conducted in a way that has not happened on this continent since before Columbus's birth.

Our clan system - most of us will know for the first time to which clan family we belong.  The clan system provides an extended family that ties us to the Tribe and each other.  The wisdom of the clan structure gives us a path for social structure by teaching us how to use our gifts and talents to benefit the Nation.

All of that will happen before supper on Friday night. After supper, one of our gifted musicians will perform a mini concert while we socialize and enjoy meeting each other in person, many for the first time.

‍

The Present:

We will honor our ancestors for 340 years of Treaty Signing by our Tribe and other Nations.

We will welcome honored guests.

We will honor those who sponsored the Gathering.  Without their willingness to be a sponsor, we could not hold major events like the Gathering.

We will hold a silent auction and an online auction for some great gifts donated to offset the cost of the Gathering.

We will hold cultural teaching classes to restore our culture that was taken in hate.

We will have a Flute Concert and social gathering to close the Gathering.

‍

The Future:

We will introduce our new associations so that our citizens can join and participate: the Academy of Digital and Fine Arts and Sciences, the Arts and Crafts Association, the Business Association, the Cattle Association, the Digital Communication Association, the Farmers Association, the Financial Services Association, the Homestead Association, the Poultry Association, the Professional Trades Association, and the Textile Association.

We will honor new national and international corporate partnerships with our Nation at the Gathering.

We will host a Business and Commerce Dinner for new and potential partnerships at the Gathering.
