Religious Nor Racial Intolerance Will Be Allowed
There is no way to ask for Religious or Racial Tolerance to be given if it is not given.
The Chickamauga are historically an amalgam of people from various cultures, traditions, religions, and ethnicities who have been committed to celebrating the multicultural diversity of our people.
Historically, the Mesoamerican backgrounds of our culture, religion, and history came into contact with the peoples of the Southwest portions of the continent, then with the people of the Mississippi, Arkansas, Ohio, Tennessee, Cumberland, and Savannah River Valleys, in forming the Mound Building Cultures.
Ultimately, with the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors, French Jesuit Black Robes, English Puritans, French and Spanish Explorers, and Protestant missionaries, their traces were left on Chickamauga life.
When you examine our history, anthropology, and archaeology in the Mississippi Bottoms, and the Arkansas, Ohio, Tennessee, Cumberland, and Savanah River Valleys, there is a distinct realization that the Chickamauga liked “kicking boots,” “keeping warm,” or any other euphemism used to say we enjoyed the physical sex act with whoever wanted to share a few minutes or lifetime with us.
Since we were not “Christianized” until the mid-1800s and only then partially, we did not have “Christian” views on sex and sex partners.
Today, we are a true admixture of peoples: Mesoamerican (Mayan, Aztec, and Inca), Southeast Woodland, Northeast Woodland, Northern Plains, Spanish, French, English, German, Dutch, African, Italian, Chinese, and Mexican. We are also an admixture of the religions of the Maya, Aztec, Inca, Christian (Catholic and Protestant), Buddhist, Muslim, and agnostic.
We will never promote one race or culture over another, nor will we promote one religion over another. However, we will encourage the Traditional, for it is the tie that binds us all together. We tolerate all out of the desire to receive tolerance from all. We promote the Traditional during ceremonies, but we do not ask anyone to convert or replace their traditions with ours. We invite all to tolerate each other as individual Creatures the Creator created.
