For Our Protection

The current political and social fabric of our country is pushing for the return to the hate-filled principles of the Doctrine of Discovery.  This is dangerous and devastating to Native Americans wanting to be traditional Native Americans.
As we de-colonialize and return to our traditional ways, we are faced with the realization that white supremacy and Christian superiority, the hallmarks of the Doctrine of Discovery, are alive and well.  It has become apparent that these hate-filled beliefs exist today in many with Native American bloodlines going back centuries, including many with Native American and European bloodlines.
It is becoming more evident by the day that, as Native Americans, we must protect our Nation and our people.  Therefore, we must protect those committed to the de-colonization from those who hold to the hate-filled tenets of the Doctrine of Discovery.
For the protection of the Chickamauga Nation, the Tribe will take at least six to nine months to observe the political and social direction of the country and its policies toward us as Native Americans. During this time, we will observe and notice the statements and actions of the country and Native Americans outside and inside the Nation.
As always, only those on the National Council and those with a letter from the National Council with a Raised Seal and Signature are allowed to speak for The Chickamauga Nation.
We will live in such a way that honors our ancestors and future generations.  We Stand!
