Ever Wonder what the US and Oklahoma cherokee Think About the Eastern Band of "cherokee"?

‍

The Chickamauga Nation - Documenting History, one Document at a Time! Sometimes with a SMILE!

‍

Page 301 - The United States in the Arkansas District Court in Fort Smith determined the North Carolina Cherokees were citizens of the United States, not cherokee. It is even funnier that the cherokee in Oklahoma told the court that Murphy was not cherokee because he had not applied for citizenship.

Eastern Band of Cherokee thrown under the bus by the Federal Judiciary, then the Oklahoma cherokee put the bus in reverse and ran over them again.

Page 425 - Footnote 29 - Thompson vetoed a bill to pay for the attorneys that the coucil has passed because. "the Bill under consideration seems to admit Murphy was a citizen of our nation . . . and not a citizen of the United States. . . . This legislative admission is too broad and dangerous to our Nation, " because "all the rest of the North Carolina Cherokees, who are now citizens of the United States, could force themselves upon us without the admission of our National Council."

‍

Poor Eastern Band, be prepared, you called us an enemy in July of 2022 at the Tri Council Meeting, you slapped a sleeping Giant with over 620,000 pages of documentation including your history as citizens of the United States back to colonial times is also included.
