Actions Have Consequences
We have lived among the colonists for too long
We have begun to think like them
We have begun to be undisciplined and careless as they
We have forgotten who we are

They take the short view of life
They care for nothing but themselves
They have no ties to the past or future
They conclude that society, relationships and people are throw away

We must seek wisdom from the seven generations in the past
We must prepare for seven generations into the future
We must understand past to present to future is but three hundred years
We must provide safety and dignity for our society relationships and people

Am I part of a community of brothers sisters mothers and fathers
Am I creating a better world for my great-great-great grand children
Am I looking beyond myself for seven generations in each direction
Am I a source of pride or regret to my past and future
