Whether you call them Lower Town Cherokee, Lower Cherokee, Western Cherokee, Old Settler Cherokee Early Emigrant Cherokee, Red Stick Cherokee, Arkansas Cherokee, or the Cherokee Nation, George Washington, in his 4th Annual Address to Congress in 1792, identified them as Chickamauga.
